Leírás

The Institute for American Studies invites you to take part in a three-day methods course on game theory. The course instructor is Jesse Richman, Associate Professor at Old Dominion University.

Date:

10th May 2022 9:00-14:00
11th May 2022 9:00-14:00
12th May 2022 9:00-14:00

Venue: Ludovika Campus, Educational Building, Room 415 (1082 Budapest, Üllői Str. 82.)

The three day course provides the fundamentals of game theory. Game theory provides a tool-kit for the study of strategic interaction and has been extensively applied in the social sciences. This 3-day course exposes students to the major tools of game theory, to develop student capacity to apply these tools. It focuses on strategic leadership, conflict, and cooperation, partly through an in-depth study of the complex strategic dynamics of World War I.

The course is aimed at doctoral students and researchers, but interested faculty and advanced master’s students may also take part.

The course is free for attendees, but advanced registration is required.

The course will be held in English.
