The Danube River Basin, is one of Europe’s most diverse and interconnected socio-ecological systems. Understanding and managing its aquatic and terrestrial environments under growing human pressures and climate change requires integrated research, monitoring and cooperation across the basin.

The 46th IAD Conference ”The socio-ecological future of the Danube: integrating riverine and terrestrial systems for a suitable Danuba” brings together scientists, educators, researchers and practitioners to share research and management experiences, discuss emerging challenges and strengthen collaboration across disciplines and countries.
