 zervezésében kerül megrendezésre a Chosen Nation(s): Historical and Cu
 ltural Interpretations of Exceptionalism című nemzetközi konferencia 20
 26. június 10–11-én Budapesten. A kétnapos rendezvény második napj
 át (június 11.) a Molnár Tamás Kutatóintézet szervezi. Az interdiszc
 iplináris konferencia célja\, hogy párbeszédet nyisson a kiválasztott
 ság\, a történelmi hivatás és az exceptionalizmus eszméiről a vall
 ási hagyományoktól a modern politikai teológiáig. A tematika felölel
 i a zsidó és keresztény kiválasztottság-fogalmakat\, a szekularizált
  politikai teológia különböző változatait\, a birodalmi civilizáci
 ós missziók narratíváit\, az amerikai és orosz kivételességtudat t
 örténeti gyökereit\, valamint a martyrológiai és áldozati identitás
 ok működési mechanizmusait. A konferencia különös figyelmet szentel 
 annak\, hogyan funkcionálnak a kiválasztottság-narratívák a legitimit
 ás\, a kizárás és az erkölcsi hierarchia eszközeiként – s hogyan 
 alakulnak át\, vitatottá válnak vagy fordulnak visszájukra különböz
