Leírás
In this talk, we will construct an extendible spacetime without closed
timelike curves (CTCs) whose every extension contains CTCs. From
time-rolled Minkowski spacetime, we will remove a fractal which is
large enough to cut every CTC in half, but also scattered enough, and
hence, in every extension of the spacetime, at least one CTC has to be
added back. This construction settles a question posed by Geroch.
