IDSA MiniMUN UPS 2020
Dear future MUN-er!
If you are interested in global affairs and would like to develop your soft skills - such as debating and public speaking - this event is just for you!
This semester’s IDSA MiniMUN has arrived and we cordially invite ALL who would like to enjoy a Saturday of lucrative Model UN and friendly unwinding.
Great topics and even greater debates are guaranteed!
This semester we decided on giving a taste of interconnectivity, which means that the three committee’s topics are going to connect so the participants will be able to communicate and coordinate their country policies in all chambers, together.
The simulated committees and their respective topics are the following:
- United Nations Security Council - The destabilizing effect of the United States Middle East plan
- International Court of Justice - The relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem (Palestine vs. US)
- North Atlantic Treaty Organization - Increasing NATO presence in the Middle East
Have a taste of negotiating your represented country’s interests; experience what it is like to stay true to your foreign policy; debate, as you never did before!
